Getting Started Become a Pilot Today!

The Multi-Engine Instrument Rating allows you to operate an aircraft with more than one engine without reference to the horizon. With this rating you can fly in Instrument
Meteorological Conditions (IMC) and at night. First you will obtain your Multi-Engine Rating followed by your Group One Instrument Rating. Your advanced training will take place initially in our simulator and in our C310 aircraft.

RCAF personnel doing license conversions will find that the cost is significantly cheaper as a result of reduced time typically needed to complete rating criteria, due to previous military training and experience. This is dependent on the individual. If desired, MFC will endeavor to do the military-to-civilian conversion in a short time frame (ex: a weekend).

COST SAVINGS: 172S equipped with Garmin 430 GPS; equivalent to our 310. Training in the 172S enables equal training at a slower pace and a lower cost, and is included for 6 hours (this can be substituted with the C310 if preferred). The required IFR cross country can also be completed on the 172S to lower costs if desired.

Note: It may take some students more time to complete depending on ability or if training flights are not consistently scheduled and flown.
